Massport the Transportation governing body of Massachusetts Airports issued a memo

TO ALL LIMOUSINE OPERATORS

Effective Monday August, 18 2008 all Limousine & Town cars will be allowed only 10 min at each terminal to meet a client before we are asked to leave. Massports New procedure is as follows. All Limo/Livery vehicles must remain at the Limo Pool until 10 minutes AFTER their  flight has posted arrived OR until their customer is ready for pick-up. When approaching the Terminal drivers will show their Limo Pool ticket to the Ground Transportation Agents who will mark the ticket with a 10 minute timeframe. At that point the driver will have 10 minutes to make their pick-up and leave the terminal. If after 10 minutes the driver is still at the terminal and has not made a pick-up the Agent will take our ticket and make us leave the terminal to go back to the Limo Pool to Purchase a new ticket. In addition the Agent will issue a Fine for being there longer than 10 minutes without making a pick-up. If we receive 10 violations in a 12 month period we will be fined $500.

What this means to you the Customer. Obviously we are not happy about this because it is an inconvenience to you. Our drivers will be asking clients who are using Accent for a Round Trip if they will be having checked luggage so the driver picking up at Logan will have an idea of when to expect you on your return. Any clients with Checked Luggage should call 1-800-696-5466 after you have retrieved all your luggage to let the driver know it is ok to come pick you up. If you don't call us we will be over to the Terminal 10 minutes after the flight arrives wait for 10 minutes to pick you up leave the terminal for at least 10 minutes (4 minutes driving time each way to Limo Pool for new ticket) then come back and wait for another 10 minutes, etc. etc. The Best thing for you to do is to call after you get all your luggage to minimize the wait. If you have NO Checked Luggage and are a WALK OFF please call us the moment you step off the Plane so we can be waiting outside for you. We must adhere to Massports new policy for fear of Violations and Fines. Pl ease do not call us when the Plane Lands it does take several minutes to get to the Gate and more time to walk to the correct location to meet the driver.

We apologize for this inconvenience to you and hope that Massport sees and hears our complaints about this to remove this procedure.

Movie Debut

Accent Limousine has  wrapped up filming their role with Rick Nashawaty II as a Limo Driver using our Limo's in a new Movie "Tricks of a Woman" to be shown at this years Sundance Film Festival.

FUEL SURCHARGE 06/01/08

After several weeks of research and analysis of operating costs  due to the increasing fuel prices we are forced to add a Fuel surcharge on to every reservation. We have figured out the exact expense that it is costing Accent for every situation and destination and realize that every trip is not the same therefore a flat fee should not be accessed.  Please see below for details.

Airport Transfers 7% fuel surcharge of  base fare

Hourly Service 5% fuel surcharge based off total fare

All Bus service 10% off total cost due to higher Diesel costs
